about David Woodward

First involved with print when, aged 11, he swapped his collection of Enid Blyton books for an Adana hand printing press and some metal type. A thriving boyhood business as a letterpress printer followed, with customers including a leading local hotel. After running the printing club at Reading Blue Coat School he graduated in Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading in 1983.

His freelance work has included book design commissions for publishers like Routledge and Macmilllan. He has worked as a journalist on a local newspaper and as a photographer. He teaches part-time at Department of Typography and Graphic Communication. He is a keen swimmer and choral singer and is Chairman of Eye & Dunsden Parish Council and has recently set up a community orchard. He blogs regularly at diaphania.blogspirit.com
